Hi I’m Bug! I’m a 25 year old artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. I enjoy creating art derived from the connection between life and death, and the feelings involved with the life cycle. My inspiration comes from nature and the metaphysical, and my own near death experience and feelings around grief, joy, and ecstatic love for life and the beautiful planet we’re all a part of.
I grew up in a marsh town in coastal south Georgia, and have always had a love for exploring the ecosystem around me. I spent as much time as I could interacting with and learning about local flora and fauna, and naturally this turned into me finding my way into Vulture Culture. I love scavenging for bones and seeing how I can turn them into something new. I have so many ideas and I’m excited for you to join me on this journey as my skills and ideas improve.
I’ve had ten years of art classes along the way and developed a specialty in graphite and charcoal realism. These days I’m turning more towards surrealism with metaphysical allegories and a focus on acrylic painting. I’ve also always had a love for sculpture and ceramics and love exploring my skill with clay by making my mushroom decor and lamps!
